    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Parte dell'azienda vinicola Fior di Sole, il marchio Adulation comprende vini di eccellente qualità che offrono un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Fondata oltre 20 anni fa, Fior di Sole è un'azienda a conduzione familiare e si trova nella Napa Valley. I vigneti dell'azienda sono piantati con vecchie viti su terreni argillosi e beneficiano del calore del clima californiano, che permette una perfetta maturazione delle uve. Lo Chardonnay Adulation è prodotto con uve selezionate e raccolte manualmente. Dopo la vinificazione, il vino finito viene invecchiato per alcuni mesi in botti di rovere per ottenere una buona complessità e cremosità.

    Il vino ha un colore giallo intenso con riflessi dorati. Al naso, sprigiona un bouquet ricco e maturo di frutta tropicale e frutta a nocciolo con un leggero tocco erbaceo e note tostate. Al palato, il vino è rotondo, pieno e morbido. Ha tutti i tratti tipici di uno Chardonnay californiano ben fatto. L'acidità è ben bilanciata e il vino mostra una gustosa concentrazione di frutta. Il finale è lungo, persistente ed elegante. Questo vino ricco si sposa bene con l'aragosta, il granchio e altri crostacei ed è perfetto per il pollo o il tacchino serviti con salse cremose.
