    La tenuta di Cambria si trova nella panoramica Santa Maria Valley, nella contea di Santa Barbara. L'azienda ha radici profonde nella regione: un appezzamento della tenuta, originariamente chiamato Tepusquet Vineyard, è stato uno dei primissimi vigneti piantati nella zona, nel 1971. Julia's Vineyard è una parte di quel vecchio vigneto ed è il luogo di nascita di alcuni Pinot Nero davvero eccellenti.

    L'azienda è attualmente guidata da Denise Shurtleff, che ne fa parte dal 1999. La regione di Santa Maria Valley si distingue per la sua catena montuosa trasversale, che va da est a ovest. L'aria fredda è diretta verso l'interno dall'Oceano Pacifico, raffreddando quello che altrimenti sarebbe un clima tipicamente californiano.

    Questo vino è prodotto al 100% con Pinot Nero proveniente dal vigneto Julia's Vineyard. Al naso, lamponi e melograni incontrano la freschezza oceanica della menta - il vigneto si trova a soli 15 chilometri dall'Oceano Pacifico. Al palato si incontrano i familiari sapori di mora e mirtillo, seguiti da alcuni frutti rossi, da una sapidità terrosa e da spezie di cannella e salvia. Si abbina bene a piatti umami e a base di funghi, formaggi delicati, pesce o pollame.
