    La storia di Stark Conde risale al 1989 quando Hans & Midori Schroder acquistarono la fattoria Oude Nektar nella drammatica Jonkershoek Valley a Stellenbosch e iniziarono a coltivare uve di alta qualità. Un decennio dopo, nel 1998, la coppia è stata raggiunta dalla figlia e dal genero, Marie e José, ed è nata l'azienda vinicola della famiglia Stark Conde.

    La splendida posizione nella frastagliata Jonkershoek Valley aiuta a dare ai vini un carattere unico e un profilo di sapore grazie alle grandi variazioni di altitudine nei loro vigneti. I loro appezzamenti più bassi si trovano a 150 metri, mentre i più alti si trovano a 600 metri sul livello del mare.

    Il Field Blend della famiglia è una complessa composizione di Chenin Blanc, Roussanne, Verdelho e Viognier che provengono tutti da un singolo vigneto di prima qualità chiamato Jan Lui's Field dal nome di un ex proprietario. Le uve sono tutte raccolte e fermentate insieme come una vera miscela di campo con il 90% del vino fermentato e invecchiato in botti di rovere per 8 mesi. Il risultato è un bianco opulento e corposo con seducenti note tropicali e di agrumi, nonché una consistenza cremosa e sentori di vaniglia e spezie dalla maturazione in rovere.
