Purtroppo non acquisterò più a causa della consegna da parte di UPS, che non rispetta mai la data e l'ora e fornisce la falsa scusa di essere assente quando ero lì e ho preso un giorno di ferie per essere lì.

    La cantina RAEN è stata fondata nel 2013 da Carlo e Dante Mondavi, nipoti del famosissimo Robert Mondavi. Dopo gli studi in Europa, i due viticoltori hanno collaborato con il team di enologi guidato dal padre Tim Mondavi presso la Robert Mondavi Winery fino alla sua vendita nel 2004, quando hanno partecipato alla fondazione di Continuum nel 2005. Continuando una prestigiosa tradizione familiare e gli insegnamenti ricevuti sia dal nonno che dal padre, Carlo e Dante concentrano la produzione della loro cantina su tre Pinot Noir di classe eccezionale, provenienti da tre siti sulle colline occidentali della costa di Sonoma, e due Chardonnay.

    Royal St. Robert Cuvee è un Pinot Nero eccezionale dedicato alla memoria del nonno Robert Mondavi, che ha avuto un ruolo fondamentale nella formazione vinicola di Carlo e Dante. Le uve sono selezionate nei vigneti costieri della parte occidentale di Sonoma. La fermentazione avviene con lieviti indigeni.

    Il vino rivela un profilo aromatico intenso e vibrante con petali di rosa, aromi di ciliegia nera e rossa, lampone e prugna, erbe mediterranee, pavimento di bosco e sapori di tè nero. In bocca, questo Pinot Nero è elegante e setoso, vivace, con aromi floreali fini e delicati e alcune note speziate. È il vino perfetto per la selvaggina, l'anatra e l'oca.
