Purchasing process and product choice are good but delivery service with UPS is miserable. I will not buy anymore unfortunately because of being delivered by UPS who never respects date/time and give false excuse of being absent when I was there and took a day off to be there.

    La famiglia Pavone produce vino nella valle di Maipo in Cile dal 1917, quando arrivò nella regione. Ora gestita dalla terza generazione della famiglia, Santa Ema è considerata una delle aziende vinicole leader in Cile per qualità e rapporto qualità/prezzo. L'azienda è stata precedentemente nominata da Wine Spectator una delle 20 migliori marche del mondo grazie ai suoi vini deliziosi e rilassanti che sono pieni di carattere e sapori di frutta succosa.

    La loro serie "Amplus" prende il nome dalla parola latina che significa "onorevole" o "distinto" ed è un cenno alle radici italiane della famiglia Pavone. Questi sono vini seri e raffinati come questo affascinante Cabernet Sauvignon che proviene da viti molto vecchie nella Cachapoal Valley. I vigneti qui beneficiano delle calde giornate di sole durante la stagione della crescita e delle brezze rinfrescanti che vengono incanalate lungo il fiume Cachapoal dalle vicine montagne delle Ande.

    Una volta in cantina le uve vengono accuratamente vinificate e il giovane vino viene poi invecchiato in botti di rovere francese per 12 mesi prima di essere imbottigliato. Al naso è ricco di ciliegie mature, mirtilli e prugne, mentre al palato gli aromi lasciano spazio a intensi frutti di bosco schiacciati, erbe secche e cioccolato amaro. Una struttura solida e tannini maturi lo rendono molto facile da bere insieme ad un generoso piatto di salumi, formaggi duri o una pizza con salame piccante.
