Un compleanno da ricordare con DAOU & Colomé Festeggiare il compleanno di mia madre è stato reso ancora più speciale grazie a due vini incredibili: DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 e Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. Il protagonista della serata è stato senza dubbio il DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Fin dal primo sorso, ci ha avvolti nel suo abbraccio ricco e vellutato. I profondi sapori di frutta scura, le note di cacao e il rovere perfettamente bilanciato hanno fatto sì che ogni bicchiere sembrasse una vera indulgenza. È stato audace ma elegante, un vino che ha portato senza sforzo calore e gioia alla nostra riunione. Vedere mia madre assaporare ogni sorso con un sorriso lo ha reso ancora più memorabile. Anche il Colomé Auténtico Malbec si è rivelato un'ottima espressione del Malbec d'alta quota. Era potente, con more mature, spezie e un finale morbido e persistente: un eccellente complemento alla serata. Questi vini non hanno solo arricchito il nostro pasto, ma sono diventati parte della celebrazione, elevando ogni brindisi e conversazione. Un sentito ringraziamento a DAOU e Colomé per aver reso questa occasione speciale davvero indimenticabile!

    L'azienda vinicola Bucella è stata fondata nella Napa Valley nel 2002 da Bill e Alicia Deem. Il loro amore per il vino era chiaro dal 1990, quando hanno condiviso una bottiglia di Gaja durante il loro primo appuntamento. Questa piccola cantina è ora ampiamente conosciuta per i suoi vini ricchi e intensi prodotti da Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot e varietà Rhône.

    Il vino è composto dal 97% di Merlot e dal 3% di Cabernet Sauvignon. Le uve provengono da due vigneti collinari nel famoso Hyde Vineyard, a Carneros, dove le rese sono basse, in genere meno di due tonnellate per acro. Il vino è invecchiato per 18 mesi in 70% di rovere francese nuovo. È un vino giovane, fresco e accessibile, pur avendo la tipica ricchezza e rotondità del Merlot.

    Il Merlot Buccella è fresco e vibrante e ha un colore profondo e accattivante. Il naso è dominato da seducenti aromi di cardamomo nero, noce moscata, prugna e mora, insieme a fiori viola come viole e lavanda, e spezie dolci. Al palato, è morbido ma potente, sapido e strutturato, con sapori di marmellata di lamponi e concentrato di prugna. Alla fine rimane con un lungo e intenso sapore di frutti rossi. Provatelo con agnello, manzo o formaggio pecorino stagionato.
