Purtroppo non acquisterò più a causa della consegna da parte di UPS, che non rispetta mai la data e l'ora e fornisce la falsa scusa di essere assente quando ero lì e ho preso un giorno di ferie per essere lì.

    Il Domaine Charles Audoin è un'azienda vinicola a conduzione familiare situata a Marsannay-la-Côte. Charles Audoin e sua moglie Marie-Françoise, enologa di formazione, hanno rilevato la tenuta di famiglia nel 1972. La svilupparono e acquistarono nuovi appezzamenti. Dal 2000 il figlio Cyril è alla guida dell'azienda. Nei 14 ettari della tenuta, l'azienda possiede viti vecchie, con rese limitate. Le vinificazioni rimangono fedeli alle pratiche tradizionali senza ricercare estrazioni molto avanzate: il terroir e l'annata devono sempre potersi esprimere.

    Le uve Chardonnay per il Marsannay Clos du Roy Blanc del Domaine Charles Audoin provengono dal comune di Chenove a nord della denominazione Marsannay, vicino a Digione. Qui il terreno marnoso ricco di calcio, particolarmente favorevole allo Chardonnay, consente di produrre vini corposi con un eccellente potenziale di invecchiamento.

    Questo vino ha un colore giallo brillante con sfumature dorate. Al naso rivela un ampio spettro aromatico, composto da note di frutta bianca, in particolare pera e albicocca, scorza di agrumi e sentori floreali. Il legno è splendidamente completato da leggere sfumature di vaniglia e noce moscata. In bocca è concentrato e ricco, elegante, armonico e con una buona cremosità perfettamente bilanciata dal marcato nerbo acido. Il finale agrumato lascia una lunga nota di freschezza. Da bere con pesce o pollame.
