    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    La cantina La Bollina si trova nell'Alto Monferrato, in Piemonte, e più precisamente a Serravalle Scrivia, un comune di 7.000 abitanti, 20 chilometri a sud-est di Alessandria. La tenuta di 120 ettari è stata utilizzata per secoli dai Marchesi Figari di Genova e comprende, oltre ai 28 ettari di vigneti, anche un hotel a 4 stelle, un centro congressi, e un campo da golf, circondato da un grande castagneto.

    Il Tinetta Monferrato Chiaretto proviene dalla zona storica del Gavi DOCG, ed è ottenuto da uve 100% Nebbiolo dell'Alto Monferrato. Viene vinificato in acciaio, esaltando la delicatezza dell'uva che viene celebrata in tutta la freschezza tipica del rosato.

    Il vino ha un colore corallo brillante ed emana aromi di fiori bianchi e rose, fragole e ciliegie, ribes e pesche. Questo puro Nebbiolo Chiaretto è tanto fresco e croccante al palato quanto rotondo ed elegante. La fermentazione a freddo assicura un frutto succoso e vivace. È buono sia da solo, magari su una terrazza al sole, sia come accompagnamento al cibo. Si sposa particolarmente bene con la cucina estiva leggera, con gli antipasti e anche con la pizza.
