Un compleanno da ricordare con DAOU & Colomé Festeggiare il compleanno di mia madre è stato reso ancora più speciale grazie a due vini incredibili: DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 e Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. Il protagonista della serata è stato senza dubbio il DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Fin dal primo sorso, ci ha avvolti nel suo abbraccio ricco e vellutato. I profondi sapori di frutta scura, le note di cacao e il rovere perfettamente bilanciato hanno fatto sì che ogni bicchiere sembrasse una vera indulgenza. È stato audace ma elegante, un vino che ha portato senza sforzo calore e gioia alla nostra riunione. Vedere mia madre assaporare ogni sorso con un sorriso lo ha reso ancora più memorabile. Anche il Colomé Auténtico Malbec si è rivelato un'ottima espressione del Malbec d'alta quota. Era potente, con more mature, spezie e un finale morbido e persistente: un eccellente complemento alla serata. Questi vini non hanno solo arricchito il nostro pasto, ma sono diventati parte della celebrazione, elevando ogni brindisi e conversazione. Un sentito ringraziamento a DAOU e Colomé per aver reso questa occasione speciale davvero indimenticabile!

    Da bere ora o in cantina fino a 15 anni. La storia moderna di Glenelly risale al 2003, quando la proprietà è stata acquistata dal leggendario viticoltore francese May de Lencquesaing, proprietario di Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande a Bordeaux per oltre 30 anni. Nonostante i suoi 78 anni, May ha rapidamente trasformato questa fattoria di Stellenbosch in un'azienda vinicola di classe mondiale con la reputazione di produrre miscele bordolesi di eccellente valore che superano di gran lunga il loro prezzo.

    La cuvée Lady May prende il nome dalla stessa May de Lencquesaing ed è un omaggio alla sua visione e leadership ispiratrice. Il componente dominante della miscela è il Cabernet Sauvignon di Stellenbosch insieme ad alcuni Cabernet Franc, Merlot e Petit Verdot per una maggiore complessità e stile. Ogni varietà è vinificata separatamente e invecchiata sui lieviti per un periodo significativo prima di essere trasferita in nuove botti di rovere francese per 24 mesi di invecchiamento.

    Sicuro di piacere agli amanti dei rossi grandi e audaci, questo bell'imbottigliamento scoppia di cassis maturo, mora e sapori di ciliegia scura che indugiano sulla lingua molto dopo il primo sorso. Al palato c'è un carattere ricco e cupo con un corpo pieno e generoso, tannini fermi e strati e strati di frutta scura lussuriosa, spezie ed erbe secche. Un grande partner per la selvaggina, piatti di manzo sostanziosi o salumi.

Fresco e vibrante, l'evoluzione del vino introduce sapori specifici del terroir di Glenelly. Di colore intenso e perfettamente equilibrato, il vino mostra una struttura squisita con tannini vellutati e un'ottima capacità di invecchiamento.
