    La linea di vini Chateau Julia fa parte della cantina Domaine Costa Lazaridi, situata nella Macedonia orientale, nella zona di produzione del vino Drama.

    Chateau Julia Merlot è un vino rosso greco di grande impatto e successo, prodotto con l'aiuto del famoso enologo volante francese Michel Rolland. Le uve Merlot provengono dai vigneti della tenuta a Drama e vengono raccolte solo quando sono perfettamente mature. Dopo una lunga macerazione di 15 giorni, il vino viene invecchiato in barrique di rovere francese (di cui il 40% nuove), per almeno 12 mesi.

    Il vino ha un colore rubino intenso e riflessi violacei sui bordi. Il profilo aromatico è esplosivo con intensi aromi di frutta scura matura (ciliegia selvatica, prugna, mora e mirtillo), spezie dolci (vaniglia, chiodi di garofano e cannella) e note terziarie di tabacco, pepe, caffè e cioccolato. Al palato è complesso, corposo, ricco e con sapori esuberanti e concentrati. L'acidità è vivace e i tannini sono solidi ma vellutati. Il finale è caldo e persistente. È perfetto per accompagnare carni rosse alla griglia servite con salse aromatiche, pollame arrosto e formaggi di media stagionatura.
