    La cantina cilena La Ronciere è nata nel 1949 grazie alla dedizione di Don Fernando Orueta per la produzione di vini di alta qualità. Operando in tutta la Valle Centrale del Cile con 740 acri di vigneti, l'azienda è riuscita a concentrarsi su produzioni piccole e controllate, senza industrializzazione. Oggi i tre fratelli Orueta lavorano insieme all'enologo Juan A. Muñoz per continuare a produrre vini di altissima qualità, espressivi del loro terroir d'origine.

    Questo vino di grande corpo ed eleganza è prodotto con uve Merlot (con piccole aggiunte di Malbec e Syrah) provenienti dai vigneti della Tenuta Idahue, situata a 25 km dall'Oceano Pacifico a Licantén. Il vino viene affinato per 10 mesi in botti di rovere francese.

    Il Ronciere Licanten Merlot ha un generoso colore rosso intenso. Al naso, il vino rivela i tipici aromi fruttati di prugne nere e bacche scure. Al palato è un vino muscoloso e voluminoso, asciutto e con tannini setosi. Ha un corpo pieno e un'eccellente concentrazione di frutta. Il finale è fresco e richiama note leggermente legnose. È un vino molto versatile in abbinamento ai cibi: è perfetto con arrosti di agnello o vitello, filet mignon e brasati di carne rossa.
