    Il vigneto di proprietà di Amisfield è situato sotto la splendida catena montuosa di Pisa nel Cromwell Basin in Central Otago, Nuova Zelanda. Precedentemente conosciuto come Rocky Knoll Vineyard, Amisfield si è concentrato su un modo molto più naturale di produrre vini fenomenali - un intervento minimo durante la crescita delle uve e la produzione del vino, e una gestione rigorosa della resa combinata con la raccolta a mano. La frutta risultante (e in definitiva il vino) offre sapori di frutta concentrati insieme a complessità ed equilibrio che sottolineano la qualità e il carattere del vino.

    Il Pinot Noir rappresenta il 60% della produzione con il saldo costituito da Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris e Riesling. Una cantina all'avanguardia costruita appositamente è il punto focale del vigneto e produce 20.000-30.000 casse di vino all'anno.

    Un bel colore rubino vibrante, il naso è emozionante e promette delizie come lamponi, vaniglia, cioccolato e cuoio.

    Il palato non delude. Ciliegie, prugne e rovi insieme a un pizzico di caffè deliziano le papille gustative con setosità, finezza e complessità.

    Il finale è come se aveste appena mangiato una prugna fresca ma indugia molto bene come ci si aspetta da un vino di questa qualità. In termini di abbinamenti, questo Pinot è molto versatile e funzionerà bene con manzo, pesce, pollo, formaggio e anche con il cioccolato.
