    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    La cantina Vitteaut-Alberti è stata fondata nel 1951 a Rully, culla degli spumanti di Borgogna, da Lucien Vitteaut e da sua moglie, nata Alberti. La cantina è specializzata nella produzione di vini bianchi con il metodo tradizionale dello Champagne. Un vigneto di 23 ettari situato nei migliori climi della Côte de Beaune e della Chalonnaise, ha permesso alla famiglia di produrre Crémants de Bourgogne freschi (Blanc, Blanc de blancs, Blanc de Noirs e Rosé) in modo tradizionale da tre generazioni.

    Il Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc de Blancs Vitteaut-Alberti è un blend di 80% Chardonnay e 20% Aligoté, provenienti dalla Côte Chalonnaise e dalle Hautes Côtes de Beaune. L'azienda vinifica il vino con il metodo tradizionale a temperatura controllata e lo lascia affinare per un minimo di 16-18 mesi in bottiglia.

    Il profilo aromatico è sottile, con note limonose e floreali. Al palato, il vino trova il suo equilibrio tra vivacità e finezza, agrumi e pera. Mostra tutta la freschezza minerale di un Crémant Blanc de Blancs, con un finale elegante e persistente caratterizzato da note leggermente mielate e tostate. Si consiglia di servirlo a 8-10°C come aperitivo, o come accompagnamento a frutti di mare, crostacei e sushi.
