Un compleanno da ricordare con DAOU & Colomé Festeggiare il compleanno di mia madre è stato reso ancora più speciale grazie a due vini incredibili: DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 e Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. Il protagonista della serata è stato senza dubbio il DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Fin dal primo sorso, ci ha avvolti nel suo abbraccio ricco e vellutato. I profondi sapori di frutta scura, le note di cacao e il rovere perfettamente bilanciato hanno fatto sì che ogni bicchiere sembrasse una vera indulgenza. È stato audace ma elegante, un vino che ha portato senza sforzo calore e gioia alla nostra riunione. Vedere mia madre assaporare ogni sorso con un sorriso lo ha reso ancora più memorabile. Anche il Colomé Auténtico Malbec si è rivelato un'ottima espressione del Malbec d'alta quota. Era potente, con more mature, spezie e un finale morbido e persistente: un eccellente complemento alla serata. Questi vini non hanno solo arricchito il nostro pasto, ma sono diventati parte della celebrazione, elevando ogni brindisi e conversazione. Un sentito ringraziamento a DAOU e Colomé per aver reso questa occasione speciale davvero indimenticabile!

    Conosciuta in tutto il mondo per i suoi eccezionali vini Malbec e Cabernet Sauvignon, la cantina Mendel si trova nel cuore della regione vinicola argentina di Mendoza e possiede vigneti a Lujan de Cuyo e Altamira. L'azienda è guidata da Anabelle Sielecki insieme al famoso enologo Roberto de la Mota. Il nome dell'azienda è un omaggio della proprietaria a suo padre.

    Le uve Cabernet Sauvignon provengono dai vigneti della Finca de los Andes, situata a Perdriel, a Luján de Cuyo, ad un'altitudine di 1.050 metri sul livello del mare. Le viti, che hanno più di 25 anni, non sono innestate. Dopo la fermentazione, il vino finito viene affinato per 12 mesi in botti di rovere francese (un terzo delle quali nuove) e per altri 6 mesi in bottiglia.

    Il vino ha un colore profondo e denso con toni rosso rubino. Al naso rivela aromi intensi di cassis, mirtilli e altri frutti di bosco, intrecciati a note di pepe, vaniglia e caramello. Al palato, è concentrato e pieno, elegante e molto equilibrato. Ha un'acidità vivace e tannini morbidi e maturi. È rotondo e vivace e rivela un finale lungo e vellutato. È perfetto per accompagnare la carne alla griglia, soprattutto il manzo, ma anche i funghi arrostiti e alcune ricette vegetariane ricche.
