    Il Barbaresco dei Produttori di Barbaresco è uno dei più pregiati vini rossi del Piemonte, con una storia antica. Viene citato per la prima volta alla fine del XVIII secolo, ma è intorno al 1894 che il Barbaresco inizia a conquistare il mondo grazie a Domino Gavazza e alle sue Cantine Sociali. Dopo di lui, nel 1958, Don Fiorino Marengo fondò la Produttori del Barbaresco.

    Oggi le coltivazioni di Barbaresco sono concentrate in alcuni comuni della provincia di Cuneo e nella famosa zona delle Langhe. Queste zone sono molto piovose e nebbiose ma proprio per questo sono ideali per il Nebbiolo, un vitigno delicato che richiede una maturazione lenta tanto da protrarsi, in alcune annate, fino a novembre inoltrato. I terreni calcareo-argillosi, insieme all'altitudine della zona, sono elementi chiave della sua coltivazione, a tutto vantaggio della qualità del Barbaresco.

    È un rosso caldo ed equilibrato, con una trama tannica densa e delicata e sentori di lampone, mirtillo e ribes. Ha una buona acidità e un retrogusto persistente. È un vino elegante, da abbinare a paste con sughi di carne e risotti con tartufi o funghi.
