    La famiglia Mendoza è produttrice di vino da almeno tre generazioni, ma solo nel 2008 ha deciso di fondare una nuova cantina nella regione vinicola più prestigiosa dell'Argentina. Questa piccola cantina boutique ha un'esperienza particolarmente forte nelle pratiche sostenibili, tra cui il tentativo di riciclare o riutilizzare il più possibile i rifiuti e un sistema di irrigazione all'avanguardia che conserva l'acqua.

    I vini di La Mascota sono prodotti dai migliori vigneti della tenuta, sparsi nella regione vinicola di Mendoza. Questo Malbec è ottenuto da uve selezionate a mano, coltivate nei vigneti ad alta quota della Valle dell'Uco. Dopo la vinificazione, il vino giovane viene invecchiato per 12 mesi in botti di rovere francese, aggiungendo complessità e profondità al suo già ricco profilo aromatico.

    All'olfatto si avvertono note di frutti di bosco schiacciati, prugne e ciliegie, oltre a delicati sentori di fumo, vaniglia e spezie tostate. Il primo sorso rivela un corpo generoso e pieno, tannini vellutati e un solido nucleo di frutta scura che persiste sulla lingua. Di natura robusta e potente, questo Malbec è un ottimo abbinamento con carni rosse alla griglia, stufati sostanziosi o un generoso tagliere di salumi.
