A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Il fratello minore del famoso Whispering Angel rosé, questo delicato rosato provenzale è una miscela accuratamente composta di uve Grenache, Cinsault e Syrah provenienti dai migliori vigneti dei Côteaux d'Aix-en-Provence. L'incantevole tonalità da ballerina è completata da una fragranza inebriante di fragole schiacciate, pesche bianche e petali di rosa secchi. Prendete un sorso e vi sentirete immediatamente rinfrescati dall'acidità croccante e dai vibranti sapori di ciliegia rossa, lampone e ribes rosso.

    Leggero, vivace ed elegante, The Palm è una scelta eccellente da servire insieme a un rilassato pranzo all'aperto di insalata nicoise o salmone alla griglia. Grazie alla sua personalità divertente ed estremamente beverina, è anche perfetto da sorseggiare da solo a bordo piscina mentre si lavora sull'abbronzatura o semplicemente si gode un po' di meritato tempo libero.

    L'azienda vinicola dietro il marchio di grande successo Whispering Angel, Château d'Esclans, ha 44 ettari di vigneti situati a circa 25 chilometri dal mare Mediterraneo e dall'antica città romana di Frejus. L'orgoglio dello chateau sono le sue vecchie viti di Grenache che contribuiscono a produrre vini con molto carattere e sapori concentrati. Nel 2006 la tenuta è stata acquistata dal suo attuale proprietario, Sacha Lichine, al quale si attribuisce il merito di aver trasformato il rosé provenzale in un vino chic e glamour, ispirato alle eleganti località di St Tropez e Cannes.
