Un compleanno da ricordare con DAOU & Colomé Festeggiare il compleanno di mia madre è stato reso ancora più speciale grazie a due vini incredibili: DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 e Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. Il protagonista della serata è stato senza dubbio il DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Fin dal primo sorso, ci ha avvolti nel suo abbraccio ricco e vellutato. I profondi sapori di frutta scura, le note di cacao e il rovere perfettamente bilanciato hanno fatto sì che ogni bicchiere sembrasse una vera indulgenza. È stato audace ma elegante, un vino che ha portato senza sforzo calore e gioia alla nostra riunione. Vedere mia madre assaporare ogni sorso con un sorriso lo ha reso ancora più memorabile. Anche il Colomé Auténtico Malbec si è rivelato un'ottima espressione del Malbec d'alta quota. Era potente, con more mature, spezie e un finale morbido e persistente: un eccellente complemento alla serata. Questi vini non hanno solo arricchito il nostro pasto, ma sono diventati parte della celebrazione, elevando ogni brindisi e conversazione. Un sentito ringraziamento a DAOU e Colomé per aver reso questa occasione speciale davvero indimenticabile!

    Il Castello di Verduno prende il nome dal caratteristico castello del 16° secolo che si trova nel suo cuore nel villaggio di Verduno nella regione del vino Barolo. Di proprietà di Gabriella Burlotto e Franco Bianco, l'azienda è specializzata in Baroli e Barbareschi di alta qualità prodotti dai loro vigneti di Nebbiolo, raccolti a mano e coltivati biologicamente.

    Le uve per questo imbottigliamento provengono dai vigneti Rabaja, Rabaja-bas e Faset dell'azienda che vengono raccolti all'inizio di ottobre. Dopo la raccolta le uve vengono accuratamente selezionate e fermentate in serbatoi di acciaio inox per 20 giorni. Poi il vino viene trasferito in grandi botti di rovere di Slavonia dove matura per almeno 18 mesi. Il vino finito viene poi lasciato riposare in bottiglia per 14 mesi prima della commercializzazione.

    Il risultato è un rosso intenso e multistrato che si apre con i classici aromi del Nebbiolo di ciliegie rosse mature, violette secche e petali di rosa. Al palato il carattere maturo di bacche rosse e i sentori di spezie sono bilanciati da una brillante vena di acidità e da un finale molto lungo. Questo è un vino che può essere tenuto in cantina per altri 6 o 7 anni o goduto ora insieme a piatti di carne rossa.
