Purtroppo non acquisterò più a causa della consegna da parte di UPS, che non rispetta mai la data e l'ora e fornisce la falsa scusa di essere assente quando ero lì e ho preso un giorno di ferie per essere lì.

    La cantina Scriani è un'azienda a conduzione familiare di proprietà dei coniugi Cottini e si trova a Fumane, nella regione vinicola del Valpolicella Classico. I vigneti si estendono su circa 28 ettari di terreno, ad un'altitudine che va dai 250 ai 400 metri sul livello del mare, con viti di età compresa tra i nove e i cinquant'anni.

    Il vino è prodotto da un classico blend di uve locali (Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, Oseleta) provenienti dai vigneti aziendali Mandolari, Bosco, Tondin, Ronchiel e La Costa. La vendemmia è manuale e il vino è ottenuto con il tradizionale metodo Ripasso, che consiste nel far fermentare le uve sulle vinacce dell'Amarone per conferirgli maggiore struttura e aromi. Il vino finito viene poi invecchiato per circa 20 mesi in botti di rovere e riposa per altri 6 mesi in bottiglia, prima di essere commercializzato.

    Il Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore della cantina Scriani ha un colore rosso rubino intenso. Il suo profilo aromatico rivela note intense di frutta scura, come prugna, amarena e cassis, e note di sottobosco. Al palato, è ricco, complesso e robusto. Il finale è lungo e richiama note fruttate. Eccellente con carne arrosto o pasta condita con ragu di selvaggina.
