Un compleanno da ricordare con DAOU & Colomé Festeggiare il compleanno di mia madre è stato reso ancora più speciale grazie a due vini incredibili: DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 e Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. Il protagonista della serata è stato senza dubbio il DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Fin dal primo sorso, ci ha avvolti nel suo abbraccio ricco e vellutato. I profondi sapori di frutta scura, le note di cacao e il rovere perfettamente bilanciato hanno fatto sì che ogni bicchiere sembrasse una vera indulgenza. È stato audace ma elegante, un vino che ha portato senza sforzo calore e gioia alla nostra riunione. Vedere mia madre assaporare ogni sorso con un sorriso lo ha reso ancora più memorabile. Anche il Colomé Auténtico Malbec si è rivelato un'ottima espressione del Malbec d'alta quota. Era potente, con more mature, spezie e un finale morbido e persistente: un eccellente complemento alla serata. Questi vini non hanno solo arricchito il nostro pasto, ma sono diventati parte della celebrazione, elevando ogni brindisi e conversazione. Un sentito ringraziamento a DAOU e Colomé per aver reso questa occasione speciale davvero indimenticabile!

    "Matua" è la parola Maori che significa "capofamiglia", ed è un appellativo appropriato dato che questa modesta cantina ha prodotto il primo Sauvignon Blanc della Nuova Zelanda nel 1974. Sebbene il progetto sia iniziato solo con un piccolo capannone di latta e due fratelli, Bill e Ross Spence, l'azienda vinicola gode oggi di una reputazione globale per i suoi vini deliziosi prodotti con varietà di uve classiche internazionali.

    Questo vino rinfrescante e frizzante è ottenuto da uve Pinot Nero al 100% provenienti dalla regione di Marlborough, in Nuova Zelanda, nota per il suo clima fresco e le condizioni di crescita ideali per le uve Pinot Nero. Le uve vengono raccolte di notte per preservarne la freschezza e poi pressate delicatamente per estrarre il succo.

    Non appena si versa un bicchiere, noterà il colore rosa vibrante e gli aromi allettanti di fragole, lamponi e anguria al naso. Al palato, il vino è frizzante e vivace, con sapori di bacche rosse schiacciate e una sottile nota di agrumi. Il finale è pulito e asciutto, il che lo rende una scelta eccellente per il clima caldo e le riunioni all'aperto o da abbinare a insalate a foglia, sushi o piatti asiatici piccanti.
